John Piper's Gratitude for Martyn Lloyd-Jones

When 22-year-old John Piper worked as a surveyor between college and seminary, he read Martyn Lloyd-Jones' Studies in the Sermon on the Mount.  When he became a pastor, he again benefited from another Lloyd-Jones book, Preaching and Preachers. 

Then he began receiving sermons by Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones and "have to pause what I [was] doing because the weight of what he was saying didn't fit with what I was doing."
