Revisiting Letters of Robert Murray M'Cheyne
As John and Teddy will be continuing the series discussing Puritans and the 18th Century Revivals, we thought it would be a good idea to reach into our archives and remind you about some of the men we have talked about on the podcast who were also deeply influenced by the Puritans. This week we present you with the first episode from our series about Robert Murray M'Cheyne.
This week we wanted to point you to one of our favorite pastors, Robert Murray M’Cheyne. M’Cheyne was a 19th century pastor in the rough city of Dundee, Scotland. His diary reveals a constant reading of Puritan authors. As you listen to a podcast focusing on some of his letters, let us encourage you to listen to how carefully these men guided a person to Christ, from their earliest questions about their sin to the task of granting a biblical assurance. It ought to be apparent that the passage of centuries has not changed humanity’s most basic spiritual needs, nor has it changed the cure we offer them.
This week for our supporters, the team is sharing their testimonies. Our first testimony is from Acey Floyd, our Office Manager. We hope the story of the Lord drawing Acey to himself is encouraging to you.
