Revisiting Path of Evangelism
We are currently going through a series of episodes discussing the influence of the Puritans on the era we in America known as the First Great Awakening. The same work in the United Kingdom is called the Evangelical Revival. We are eventually going to be focusing in on their view of the great doctrines of our salvation.
If you are a long-time listener, Puritans and the Evangelical Revival are certainly not new ideas to you. However, if you recently discovered the podcast you may not be as familiar with these people and eras. So we thought it would be a good idea to introduce new listeners and remind other listeners of series we have spent discussing three men whose ministries were shaped by Puritan writings.
This is the fifth episode in the Path of Evangelism series focusing on Samuel Walker of Truro’s Scheme of Personal Evangelism. Walker was a leader in the Evangelical revival of the 18th c, working in Southern England. He was highly influenced by the Puritan writings. In the 11 episodes in this series, you get a glimpse into the way that the Puritan-influenced men guided souls to Christ.
