Salvation in Full Color
John and Chuck are taking a much-needed week off. We thought the time would be best used to reintroduce new listeners to the book we are taking a long soak in on The Whole Counsel, entitled Salvation in Full Color.
Salvation in Full Color is edited by Richard Owen Roberts and contains sermons by Great Awakening preachers on the topic of salvation.
Roberts introduces the book by pointing to the character of God, which frames the way we view salvation. He walks through four points: God, self, sin, and salvation. If God is as He describes Himself to be, then what must we be? Only a proper view of God can help us to see ourselves, our sin, and the beauty of salvation as they really are.
We will be walking through these chapters from Salvation in Full Color in the coming weeks:
The Character of God
Law of God
Total Depravity
The Heinousness of Sin
Dead Works
Divine Love
The Atonement
Regeneration
Effectual Calling
The Work of the Holy Spirit
Seeking the Lord
Repentance
Justification by Faith
Our Responses to the Gospel
Adoption
Conversion
Love to God
Perseverance of the Saints
Sanctification
Divine Retribution
Final Warning
We hope you’ll join us as we read and study Salvation in Full Color together.
