Special Episode III: The Weight of Majesty Introduction
We spent the last two weeks presenting to you the introduction and week one session of Behold Your God: Rethinking God Biblically. This week we continue our series with Behold Your God: The Weight of Majesty.
The focus of The Weight of Majesty is simple: the attributes of God. There is a common misconception among Christians that a study of God’s attributes are impractical and have little impact on our daily lives. Nothing could be further from the truth.b b g
Knowing God, His character and His attributes, impact every aspect of our lives. In this study, John carefully teaches God's incomprehensibility, immutability, eternality, wrath, love, and much more. But the study doesn't view these as individual buildings lined up down a street, never interacting with one another. Each one is layered on top of the previous ones, strengthened and sweetened by all the layers below.
It is our prayer this week will start a journey in your life that leads to a better understanding of the person of God and of Jesus Christ. As with Behold Your God: Rethinking God Biblically, the sessions are only one component of the study. The heart is its corresponding workbook.
